Stories I wrote in 2023:

Chameleon’s Dilemma (wordpress)  Original | OC Lily Hades | M

Lily Hades is an opportunist, maybe she flew a little bit too close to the sun on this one.

Wires Crossed (wordpress | ffnet) NCIS/Stargate Atlantis | John Sheppard/Ziva David | PG

In a tumultuous turn of events, John Sheppard finds himself wondering why the Asgard are on this planet and why his supposed dead friend is up in space, too?

Docked Retirement (wordpress) NCIS/Stargate SG-1 | Gibbs/Ducky | PG

Just some old guys fishing on the docks, Ducky tells a story and new opportunities arise.

A Christmas Revolution (wordpress) Twilight/The Originals | Bella Swan/Kol Mikaelson | PG

After all the battles they fought, Bella and Kol decide to start a movement.

Total Word Count: 8190 words

How has my writing changed from last year to this year, according to me: You’re always evolving as a writer, learning new tricks to tell the same type of stories that everyone else has been writing, too. My writing changed? Likely. More than likely. After all, I have been kinda absent on the writing side of things in the last few years and I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. Fell off the wagon already this year, a few times!

I had to abandon Kingdom this year due to the fact that I had been working on it for the last 3 or 4 years and not only did I lose my notes along the way, I also had different interests and I lost interest in the story, while I was trying to salvage the story, I realised that all the chapters that I had been sitting on prior to posting had to get a big re-write, and then I didn’t post again, I re-wrote stuff again, added other stuff, etc. So Kingdom became like a patchwork-quilt with several different write styles.

I prefer consistency, so the story had to go. Plus, I think that it’ll definitely free me up for stories!

The last few months were all about getting back into the writing habit again, so the stories were short and I revisited some fandoms I used to write in, as opposed to what you’re used of me.

My favourite story this year: I’m going to have to say Wires Crossed. Why? I used to write a lot of Stargate Atlantis/NCIS with Meeko (3 of those fics are posted on this site, the others you can find on our shared ffnet account or Meeko has a few of them posted aswell) and I really wanted to get back into writing. Write what you know, and such.

My best story this year: Yeah, no idea.

Story most under-appreciated by the universe, according to me. I honestly don’t know.

Most Fun story: Wires Crossed

Most Sexy story: n/a

Story with a single sexiest moment: none of them had… yeah… huh? Am I okay?

The hardest story to write: The Christmas story

The easiest story to writeChameleon’s Dilemma.

Most “Holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story: Not this year!!!

How many fic ideas am I nurturing right now? I had several until I discussed them with Meeko and found out that I already wrote something like it | I have ONE idea.

My writing resolution for 2024: Just write.

Coming in 2024 – story wise:

  • At least one Kol/Bella
  • Hopefully more words?
