Lagniappe

Summary:  Myriam du Mer is destined to live out her life in poverty until a chance meeting with a vampire changes the course. Did she kidnap him or was it the other way around? In any case, the Mikaelsons end up with something extra, a bonus. This, of course, can never end well. Or can it? Can the Mikaelsons have a happy ending?

Author’s note: written for the 2018 Big Bang challenge over at fictional retreat.

I’ve been wanting to write an origin story for Myriam Jenkins for a very long time. She’s, of course, an OC that I started to introduce in my stories, and in collaborations with Meeko. Meeko even borrowed her for a few of her own stories.

Fractured Marionette (Jeri): she was a heretic and half traveller
Beautiful Soul (Myriam): a slave in the past, saved by Klaus, set up Débauché to help humans from Supernatural beings. Daughter of an unwed prostitute and raised by farmer Jenkins. Mother died when she was 10.
A Lightened Path Home (Myriam): Same as BS
Revival (Myriam): 300-year-old vampire, used to work in a Mental Health Institute and well versed in her herbs; was one of Bella’s nurses. Was also compelled to stay the hell out of New Orleans by Elijah.
Divine Happenstance (Myriam): TrashPanda
Between Heaven And Hell (Myriam): Voodoo priestess.
Intertwined (Myriam): Regular vampire with some degrees in psychology and management
Underground Railroad: (Myriam) child of a prostitute and a Medici ruler. Voodoo priestess.
BONUS: Something Bad (Meeko’s story): (Myriam) She’s Kol’s ex-girlfriend and ex-pet.

So based on all of this, Lagniappe was created.
