I am so incredibly overwhelmed by the attention Sanctuaire has been getting. Not necessarily on here, but on fanfiction.net and on facebook. It’s WEIRD to have people be excited for the next update, asking me when the next will be or hounding me for one when I
haven’t updated in a while. But I’m not complaining. It’s a weirdly amazing feeling, it just makes me fear a little for the next story I’ll be writing after this one!
I have uploaded chapter 18 last week and I know it’s a short chapter but it didn’t fit with chapter 17 and certainly didn’t fit chapter 19. Chapter 19 is written and I’m currently working on chapter 20. If there’s anything you’d like to see in this story, let me know and I’ll see if I can make it work or not!
And I came to a realisation: Soon I will have to say goodbye to Sanctuaire as the story is coming to an end. I think chapter 22 or chapter 23 will be its last. But fret not!
There WILL be a sequel to Sanctuaire. I mean, I’ve already put some work in it and it would be a shame to go to waste. I hope it’s going to be awesome and I can give you one hint: history has a habit of repeating itself.
But, before I will work on that sequel, I will be writing a Twilight/Teen Wolf short fic. And I mean short. Not as long as Sanctuaire. Just something nice and sweet. One hint: this runaway bride meets a werewolf in Paris.
Meeko and I have signed up for het_bigbang over at Livejournal (they still need beta’s, cheerleaders and artists! Go check it out!). We will be writing a The Originals/Person of Interest crossover. We’re on Chapter 5 already and have cleared the word count. It was a breeze, really.

For some reason I got chatting about The Pretender over at facebook with Natalie. Now, many years ago, I wrote this fanfic called “Outer Child” and I had it on fanfiction.net for a while (and removed it too) and I had a copy on a hard drive (but that one exploded so it’s gone). Outer Child went through two incarnations; 1: Straight up Pretender stuff. 2: Mixed with Mutant X. Yeah the second one wasn’t even that far of a stretch, really. Mutant X and the Pretender featured the same building for The Centre and Genomex and the Centre dabbled with science just like Mutant X did.

nyway… I found this non-threathening white bag and I was curious what was in it. I have thrown out a lot over the years because I constantly moved and couldn’t bring along my shit and I regret throwing it out but lo and behold, I have a hard copy of the sequel to Outer Child.
Don’t get me started on how it looks, it’s not pleasing to look at and it’s hilarious and everything is out of first person and I’m like… ohh so glad I still have this!
I didn’t have a lot of internet access back then due to me constantly moving around and I always printed out my research.
And wrote nearly everything by hand first. Such as the outline. And it’s in Dutch. How on Earth did that work? Write outline in Dutch and write in English? I’m surprised my head didn’t explode.
I tried to find the story online after finding these notes. But alas, it’s gone. I did find out that the friend I made back then has passed away last month so that was a bit of a shock. She was 64 years old. She taught me so much about writing and always encouraged me with things I wanted to try and for that, I’ll always be grateful.
But yeah, the idea for this story was brilliant, I still love the whole idea and it’s still in my head even after all this time. The details are a bit blurry but the IDEA of it… yeah… I might write something with this again.
