Oh, jeez, another month passed.
Somehow, I feel like I haven’t done anything, and yet, I’ve done a lot. Does that make sense?
Here I was, very active in January with the Snowflake challenge and some extra blog posts that I had planned and posting up a storm… slowly working on my first big writing project of the year – actually the biggest writing project in the last 3 or 4 years, and then… nothing.
For which I apologize and it’s my own fault.
You see, on the planning for February 14th, there was…
Write/post a (short) fic for Valentine’s day. Anything goes but try aim for 1500 words.
NATURALLY, I started maybe a day or two before the deadline because it was supposed to be short and sweet.
There is nothing short and sweet about this story. I’m currently writing chapter 6 and I wrote at least ten times as much as 1500 words…
The difference between this story and the one I was writing on? It already had a title. And a playlist that works. And a banner. Yeah.

Look, it’s too early to tell or to compare the way my brain worked 4 years ago when I stomped out 100k stories as if they were nothing. At this moment, I feel like it’s not going to happen which is a good thing because then I can surprise myself at the end of the year.
There are definitely more stories planned this year (including the one I was writing before this one started to eat my brain and explode into a multichapter fic, I have about 3 story ideas, waiting to be written – one is Meeko’s fault with an assist from Geezerwench).
On another note, I wanted to have my total story word count to be at 14.000 words at the end of February and that’s one goal I knocked out of the park!
I had Meeko pre-watch an NCIS episode earlier in February. I haven’t watched NCIS in a very long time, getting tired of their inconsistencies in their own timeline and people leaving and uninteresting characters, but David McCallum was a great actor that I’ve seen in many shows so I wanted to make sure that the Ducky episode was well done so I wouldn’t be disappointed.
And I wasn’t disappointed. Plenty of Easter eggs, good memories and good stories. Quite satisfying and I liked it a lot.
One of my friends hasn’t seen the episode, but decided to write a tag to the episode anyway, seeing as Gibbs wasn’t there. I’d like to share it with you guys because it’s really good and it’s written from a slashy POV.

I’m also doing radio shows again and strangely, I’m enjoying myself. I haven’t enjoyed making radio in years or I was incapable of doing so due to circumstances.
