Wow, this update post has everything!

See, I’m used to writing in fandoms that people don’t follow or like. I like thinking outside of the box and just do whatever.

However, I wasn’t really prepared by this. I’m currently writing (and weekly posting) a Twilight/White Collar crossover story and I was curious to see if there were others.

With my story included, there are FIVE Twilight/White Collar crossovers over at fanfiction.net.

Not too shabby, but…

3 of them were the same story/adverts for the story, seemingly finished but I don’t know as it’s in French.
1 of them is questionable and not finished.
And then there’s mine.

I’m immensely enjoying writing this story though, it’s something different from all the vampires.

Speaking of writing, I finished CampNano in July (hence why I didn’t post any updates) and got 50% off of a little software called Scrivener and I’m writing my new story with that. Thanks to Sera (lilgray) and Hayley for telling me the software is awesome!

The great thing about it is that you can put your research in separate folders and move back and forth between your document and your research or reference pictures.

There’s also a great grammar/spelling editor called ProWritingAid that works just great with it (and is cheaper than Grammarly), so I’ll think about it some more whether I want the spelling things. It even checks if you’re using the UK or US spelling of a word and that’s great!! Especially seeing as I like to use both *grin*

Alright! Story updates!

Since the last update, I’ve continued to update Relativity on a weekly basis. Chapter 18 out of 20 has now been posted, with 19 coming this Sunday.

And, as stated above, I’ve started posting my Twilight/White Collar fic Exploit! Click on the banner to take you to the story! And yes, while it’s about Neal Caffrey and Bella Swan, there will be some familiar faces in this story. I promise. I PROMISE.

What else is there?

Oh, I quit the radio station I was with to get more time for myself and my mental health. I was doing stuff for that station every day for at least 12 hours and I had many responsibilities. I love the community, but damnit, I love writing more.

I’m now at a different radio station as a presenter and it’s stress-free, very easygoing and I’m loving it. I get to play stuff I never dared to play over at the other station because of the competitive nature.

And in my personal life, I’ve started to meal plan and order my groceries online with one of our local supermarkets. It’s different, but not having to go out every single day or every few days to get groceries is a blessing. Gives me more time to write and we usually know what we’ll be eating for 10 days in a row.

Today I ordered food for almost 2 weeks, so we have food for the next 3 weeks.

I’ve even started a binder with recipes and empty pieces of paper to write down stuff that needs doing or what I need to buy the next ordering round and it’ll be downstairs. Yay for more organization!!

I just need to buy myself a 4 hole puncher so I can also include the weekly meals on there, and there’s even space on the calendar to write down what I need to do, like go to the ALDI for my drinks or clean something.

I’d also like to reserve a little space in this update blog/full on blog about random stuff for Christina Dante. She was known under the name Holidai or Holidai Dante, depending on where you encountered her, or even Chrissy, as she left a review on this website under that name.

Three weeks ago, we learned that Christina, her daughter and her mother passed away during the Camp Fire in California in November last year, with her daughter’s and her mother’s remains only being positively identified only recently.

I haven’t ‘known’ her as long as others in our fandom or as well as I could, but it’s still strange that she’s gone now. I got to know Christina as a quiet supporter/reader, and a great GREAT mother to Ishka.

My heart goes out to her family and close friends. Losing someone is never easy.

in 2017, Christina made me something for my birthday and I’d like to share that with you guys.

Don’t be a stranger,

Buggy

  1. Apps are great and all, but I’m behind my pc all the time anyway, so I started with a spreadsheet. It’s also that those apps are usually tailored to the US or the UK. Then watched a few youtube videos where they all had binders, and I think that I can use them both.

Making things visual is such a big help.

I was never really able to order for weeks and weeks in a row because I had to be careful with money (which sounds strange as technically this way is a money/small purchase saver) and I lived in a small town where they didn’t do deliveries! But now that I have more freedom with my financials after moving in with the bf and I’m in a big city, why not take advantage of not having to carry your own groceries?

I only have to leave the house to go to ALDI or to the foreign butcher to get cheap chicken, or when I really need something from the city. Loving it.

You’re behind? Oh dear haha! Yeah, I guess I write a lot… I’ve tried slowing down. Didn’t take. *grins*

  2. Meal planning is a life saver for me for sure I use a app now for everything it uses my camera to capture text and it put it in the right fields for me and I can categorize everything in my cookbook he way I like which is aweomse for looking up certain stuff and it makes me a grocery list. I still remember when grocery delivery wasn’t as popular and I was all over it soon as it was available lol. Looking forward to your new fic and catching up sheesh I didn’t realize I was so behind
