Project tease!

Oh, I can’t help myself. I really can’t help myself and at the rate this fic is going, I might even have it finished before the year ends? (Just kidding, I won’t.)

A couple of weeks ago, Meeko gave me a prompt she wanted me to write. I took it and at first, I didn’t know what to do with it. Here’s the thing; give me a prompt and I do something completely different with it and it works. Just not in the way you’ve imagined.

For example; I got the prompt ‘one night stand’ and I made it about a single night stand. Or many years ago, someone requested car porn. I wrote literal car porn.

I like doing things like that.

But Meeko’s prompt… well, her prompts usually tend to evolve in my head. Sanctuaire was written because she wanted me to write a Bella/Kol and we all know how that turned out!

Seeing as I’ve finished writing A Lightened Path Home, and finished the last part of Oops!, I decided to start ahead for 2017. Don’t worry, you haven’t missed anything, I still need to upload what I wrote. I like to write ahead so that should I need rest or get a block, you’ll still get an update.

Yep, the story is called Divine Happenstance and it will be a Bella/Kol story. Eventually. It takes a while but we’ll get there. I just have a lot of backstory for this story and it’s comfy and cozy and gah. I’m in love.

I don’t want to give something away just yet, but the little teaser banner says teaser… so let me tease you a little bit. Teenage Bella is a fanfiction writer. Yep. Totally went there.

Silly, maybe, but she was writing fanfiction; it was a hell of a coincidence, but Stephenie Meyer was a genius for writing Twilight. Vampires weren’t real, but the names she used in the books were familiar. Like… totally familiar that Bella thought about suing the woman for using her family as a plot device. She was currently working on a crossover with Supernatural. Bella Swan; vampire hunter. Monster hunter, alongside of her hunks Dean and Sam Winchester. Oh yeah, she’d have sex with them both. But she hadn’t gotten to that part yet. At this point fictional Bella was ankle deep in the sewer, armed with a flashlight stalking a vampire called Jasper, so not sexy. But real Bella was sure that by the end of the scene, the vampire would be dead.

 

While Bella loved writing original fiction, fanfiction was sometimes a breath of fresh air; she could use the worlds that were already established and mold it into something she liked. Writing in general made her process things. Deal with her issues with her parents and shit. Her own sexual frustrations. Killing off everyone she didn’t like around her. That kind of thing.

So, even though A Lightened Path Hope is ending (Chapter 13 was posted this last Wednesday), and Oops! is ending, rest assured, I have something up my sleeve to start posting in 2017!
