Missed Connections and my Camp Nano project!

A month ago I informed you all that I had finished writing Sanctuaire and was sharing goodies/leftovers from the writing of the story; how big of an achievement it was for me to have written it and stuff like that.

Well, I’m ashamed to inform you that I haven’t updated you about what happened next… You see, over at fanfiction.net there’s this awesome gumissed_connectionsest reviewer who asked for a Twilight/Teen Wolf crossover with the main pairing being Isaac Lahey and Bella Swan and I salivated at the thought. In two weeks I wrote 8 chapters of Missed Connections, seven chapters are already posted. I might post the 8th today. It was supposed to be a one-shot but I was overwhelmed by requests for more and I only hope I do the original idea justice.  Click on the banner to take you to the story.

I could have written more of Missed Connections if I had not been seduced to participate in Camp Nanowrimo. I don’t work well on multiple chapters at the time – I actually had to cut an entire scene of my Camp Nano project because it sounded too much like Missed Connections – so I had to stop writing Missed Connections for awhile while I worked on…

That’s right. The sequel to Sanctuaire!

This is the summary:

Three hundred years in the future, the balance of supernaturals in New Orleans has shifted in the favor of the witches, who kicked out the vampires a few generations back. Abandoned by his siblings, Klaus returns to Mystic Falls and decides to open Pandora’s box.

Excited? Well, I am! Because it’s not just three hundred years into the future, you’ll also catch glimpses of Kol and Bella’s life while traveling the world, getting kids, getting into trouble and cause mayhem! While I heavily hinted at a third fandom involved into the sequel, I can tell you that it’s Person of Interest and no, you don’t have to know the show to be able to read the story once I start to post it. It’ll be a subtle insertion of the fandom and you won’t even notice it unless you know the show.

I said ‘once I start to post it’ because even though I’m using Camp Nano as a kick starter for this story with a word count of 50k (which I’ll probably reach today or tomorrow), the story won’t be finished and I find myself going back and forth between chapters too much and I don’t feel confident and comfortable to start posting yet. Minor details can change, or major details can change and I already screwed up in Sanctuaire’s epilogue but I hope you won’t notice that once you start reading Pandore haha.

But once I’ve met my word count goal for this month – for Camp Nanowrimo – that started at 25k but I almost reached that in week 1 so upped it to 50k, I will continue writing Missed Connections. Once that’s done, I’ll continue on Pandore.

Speaking of Camp Nanowrimo, the one who seduced me to do it is my partner in crime Meeko. I know what it’s like to tackle a challenge like this and I didn’t want her to go through it alone. She has an amazing story called Taigai Ridatsuit’s a Teen Wolf/Twilight crossover with the main pairing being Derek/Bella. It’s fucking awesome. It’s much darker than she’s ever written on her own and she’s kicking ass with it. Chapter One is already posted, you should really check it out. It’s awesome.

I’d better stop procrastinating and write the last 3000 words to reach my word count goal. Until next time!
